ABIDE is an indigenous non-profit, non-governmental development organization (NGO) working towards strengthening Ethiopia’s human resources and institutional capacity to bring about accelerated socioeconomic development and prosperity of the Ethiopian people through linking Ethiopians globally for increased transfer, sustained availability and utilization of the accumulated wealth of knowledge, skills, technology and other resources available with the Ethiopian Diaspora and Friends of Ethiopia increasing opportunities for brain gain. We work in partnership with development forces nationally and internationally in and outside the country as well as with professionals and institutions locally to facilitate and coordinate the development and strengthening of institutional mechanisms, systems and processes needed to enhance Diaspora participation in national development.
